Materials

Material definitions for object surfaces typically include the following properties:

Ambient
- amount of background light the surface reflects
Diffuse
- amount of directional light the surface reflects
Specular
- determines surface highlights
Emissive
- amount of light the surface emits
Transparency
- transparency of the surface
Texture
- image mapped onto the surface
Ramp
- defines how a texture is blended with the colour of a surface
