The sewage and storm water system in Ras Beirut was renovated in the late '90s. TheY dug up the streets, and installed sewage handling works under the Corniche (the sandstone buildings between the lanes). Doesn't work. That's untreated sewage pouring out into the sea, barely 400 meters east of the AUB beach.
