The crank motor preserved the 21-gear (7 Derallieur + 3 speed SACHS hub) arrangement of the APB. The wiring for the TSDZ2 is simple, with three cables from the motor. The main power cable to the battery, the cable to the XH18 controller and display on the handle bar, and the short cable to the speed sensor on the left rear horizontal strut. None of the cables needed extensions and the original cable from the motor was simply soldered on to the shortened cable ends in the battery holder.
